Background
A class action settlement has been reached in Allen, et al. v. AIS InfoSource, L.P. over a data breach in which class members' private information was compromised. AIS InfoSource denies wrongdoing and the Court has not decided who is right. The official settlement website states that class members who incurred actual, documented out-of-pocket losses traceable to the data incident may claim reimbursement of up to $5,000, and that class members who spent time remedying issues related to the incident may claim up to four hours of lost time at $20 per hour. Claim Forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than October 12, 2026; the deadline to exclude yourself or object was September 11, 2026, and the Final Approval Hearing is set for October 13, 2026.
