A proposed class action settlement has been reached over a targeted cyberattack on the Lester and Rosalie Anixter Center's computer systems that occurred in July 2023 and allegedly compromised class members' private information. Anixter denies that it did anything wrong and the Court has not decided who is right. According to the official settlement website and its FAQ, class members may claim a one-time $50.00 cash payment instead of any other cash payment option, or reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses up to $5,000.00, plus up to three hours of lost time at $17.50 per hour ($52.50 maximum) and identity theft protection with $1 million in insurance. The opt-out and objection deadlines were September 18, 2026, the Claim Deadline is October 19, 2026, and the Final Approval Hearing is set for November 23, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. Class Counsel will ask the Court to approve $185,000.00 in attorneys' fees and costs.
