Background
The BMW shark-fin antenna settlement resolves the nationwide class action Craft v. BMW of North America, LLC, pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, which alleged that certain model-year 2019 to 2020 BMW X3, X4, X5, X6, and X7 vehicles had defective shark-fin antenna sealing that allowed water to leak into the vehicle. BMW of North America denied wrongdoing but agreed to reimburse eligible class members for certain past sealing-defect repair expenses and to extend the New Vehicle Limited Warranty as it relates to the sealing defect. Claims must be submitted by the later of 30 days after final approval or the settlement's Effective Date, estimated on or about August 27, 2026.
