Background
A class action settlement has been reached in Webster, et al. v. Bradford-Scott Data, LLC over a data security incident discovered on or around July 2, 2023, in which an unauthorized third party accessed systems holding private information of individuals served by Bradford-Scott's financial-institution clients. Bradford-Scott denies wrongdoing and the Court has not decided who is right. Bradford-Scott has agreed to establish a settlement fund of $2,393,888. The official settlement website states that a class member's flat cash payment is expected to be $100, and class members may instead seek reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses up to $5,000, plus credit monitoring. Claim Forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than October 7, 2026; the deadline to exclude yourself was September 7, 2026, and the Final Approval Hearing is set for October 15, 2026.
