Background
The case was brought by four named plaintiffs — Philip Calderon, Farshad Pinchasi, Allison Fields, and Dana Folgar — represented by The Legal Aid Society and Katz Banks Kumin LLP, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Rather than fighting the request, Public Partnerships agreed not to oppose the plaintiffs' motion for preliminary approval, which the court granted on July 1, 2026, while also appointing Atticus Administration as the settlement administrator. Formal notice to class members and specific claim instructions have not gone out yet, and a final approval hearing still has to take place before any money moves.
