Background
Berman, et al. v. Forbes Media LLC, Case No. 3:24-cv-09287-WHO (N.D. Cal.), is a proposed class settlement over the trackers Forbes ran on its websites. Under the proposed settlement Forbes will pay $10,000,000 into a settlement fund used for administration costs, court-awarded attorneys' fees and costs, incentive awards, and payments to class members. The only way to receive a payment is to submit a valid and timely Proof of Claim form; the claim deadline is November 9, 2026. Forbes denies the allegations and the court has not decided who is right.
