Background
The class action, Sol Tan Tanning & Spa v. The Hydrafacial Company, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleged that the HydraFacial Syndeo device, a professional-grade skincare treatment system, contained defects or nonconformities in violation of law or duty. The HydraFacial Company denied the allegations but agreed to a $925,000 settlement fund to resolve the claims. Because every class member can be identified from HydraFacial's records, the settlement pays automatically: after the settlement becomes final, the administrator, Atticus Administration, mails a check to each eligible class member's last known address. Class members may optionally submit a Payment Election Form by September 14, 2026 to choose electronic payment instead. The court will consider final approval at a hearing on December 4, 2026.
