Background
This settlement is part of the broader Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2873, consolidated before Judge Richard M. Gergel in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Beyond the 3M and DuPont funds covered by this entry, the same MDL produced two additional, separately administered settlements — with Tyco Fire Products/Chemguard and with BASF Corporation — each running on its own deadline schedule. All four settlements (3M, DuPont, Tyco, and BASF) have already received final approval from the MDL judge. EisnerAmper serves as the claims administrator handling the Public Water System claims process across all four funds.
