A court-authorized settlement has been reached in Boggiano, et al. v. Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, pending in the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County, Florida, Case No. CACE-26-006904-09. The action concerns the disclosure of personally identifying information, protected health information and confidential communications to third parties via tracking, analytics and advertising technologies on the hospital's website and patient portal between June 10, 2021 and September 18, 2025. Class members who submit a timely valid Claim Form can receive an estimated $20.00 cash payment, which may rise or fall pro rata depending on the total value of valid claims; all class members receive an activation code for one year of free Medical Data Monitoring without filing a claim. The claim deadline is September 28, 2026.
