🔓 Fort Wayne Medical Education Program (FWMEP) Data Breach Settlement

A class action alleges that private information of settlement class members was potentially compromised in the December 2024 Fort Wayne Medical Education Program cyberattack.

All persons whose private information was potentially compromised as a result of the December 2024 incident and who are included on the official Settlement Class List.

Reimbursement of ordinary out-of-pocket losses up to $500.00; extraordinary losses such as identity theft or fraud up to $5,000.00; lost time up to four hours at $20.00 per hour ($80.00 maximum); or a flat $40.00 cash payment with no proof required; plus two years of credit and medical identity monitoring with $1 million in fraud insurance

The settlement resolves In re Fort Wayne Medical Education Program Data Incident Litigation. The official settlement website states that FWMEP denies doing anything wrong and that the Court has not decided who is right. Class members whose private information was potentially compromised in the December 2024 cyberattack and who are on the Settlement Class List may submit a Claim Form by October 27, 2026. Documentation is optional: reimbursements require receipts, while the flat $40.00 cash payment and lost-time claims can be made without proof. Group 1 class members (Social Security numbers compromised) receive two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete and Group 2 members receive two years of CyEx Medical Shield Complete, each with $1 million in fraud insurance.
