A class action alleges that a July 2025 targeted cyberattack on Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital's computer systems exposed patients' personal and medical information.

All persons who were sent written notification of the July 2025 data incident affecting Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, excluding the judge and the judge's family and staff and anyone who perpetrated the incident.

Up to $100.00 in cash — documented out-of-pocket losses and/or attested lost time up to four hours at $25.00 per hour, capped at $100.00 combined — plus two years of CyEx Medical Shield Complete monitoring with $1 million in medical identity theft insurance

The settlement resolves In Re: Susan B. Allen Data Security Litigation, Case No. BU-2025-CV-000185, in the District Court of Butler County, Kansas, over a July 2025 data incident. The official settlement website states that files containing private information such as names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, health insurance information, medical histories, treatment plans and financial information were accessed. Class members who received written notification may file a Claim Form online or by mail by November 12, 2026. Documents are required for out-of-pocket loss reimbursement, while lost-time and monitoring claims can be made by attestation.
